IE Freezing

Hi,

Since this morning, whenever I go to any website, once the page loads, IE then freezes for up to 10 seconds before I am able to use it (Click on links, type, etc)

I've scanned for viruses etc....

What is happening?

I'd suggest you re-install Spybot though. :(

Have you tried using another browser?

There are a number to choose from but popular at the moment is Firefox http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

I, and several other forum members use Firefox in preference to I.E. In fact, I hardly ever use I.E now.

OK, have downloaded and installed Mozilla, it doesn't freeze, so what was the problem with IE then??? Any ideas?

Dunno. I.E. is certainly not the best browser around.

You could try repairing it but, if it were me, I wouldn't bother :)

Download it again.

It can get damaged and not function correctly. Good 'ol M$. Just download, and install the latest vers. and you should be ok.

ok, re-installed IE, no difference, think I'll just stick with Mozilla, it seems ok and easy to use, they all seem much of a muchness to me!!!

when i go to any webpage, it loads as usual, then the status bar at the bottom stays for about 10 seconds although it is full. IE is frozen until the status bar says "done" If I try to click on any links fduring this time it says IE not responding!!

Once it's loaded totally then it's fine!! but it is only happening in IE not other browsers
