Hi, In linux you can link the contents of 1 folder into another, so that the contents appears to be a duplicate, however changing it in 1 folder also changes it in the other.

Can I do that with Windows?

Thanx,AP

Windows XP does allow you to use shortcuts, which are a poor relative of the linux/unix file link - sometimes the shortcut behaves as though it is the real file (double clicking in explorer for example), other times it doesn't (it is actually a different file with different properties from the one it "links to" - if you do a directory listing of a directory containing a link the shortcut shows up as [filename].lnk).

Windows XP Professional allows you to mount entire disk filesystems under a directory on a different disk and changes made to files on the original filesystem are reflected in the mounted one (as they are the same file)

To the best of my knowledge Windows XP comes close, but no cigar.
