AlanHo
Microsoft have issued a small programme to prevent Windows auto update from downloading SP2.This may be of interest to those on dial up because SP2 will be so large. You can find it HereI am no computer expert - perhaps one of our whizz kids can comment on its usefullness.

AlanHo
The only use I can see is that it leaves auto update still operational and stops just SP2 - so other updates are downloaded automatically.Whereas, if you switch off automatic downloads, someone forgetful like myself will not remember to switch it back on again. The executable creates the key value name ‘DoNotAllowXPSP2’ and sets its value to ‘1’
