trackrat
Like Doug my cdrw has popped its clogs, so I purchased a dvdrw. Is it a simple case of just fitting it as a slave which the cdrw was and it will work or is there anything else to do?. -pops-
Should be recognised straight away although Windows may still tell you it's a CDRW.You should update your burning software to accommodate it.
Scarecrow Man
If your old drive was a Master, set this one to master, if the old one was slave, set the new one to slave. You should remove the old one from device manager before installing the new one as well.
madboy33
Hi TrackratI would fit the DVDRW drive as master and the cd-rom as slave
