-pops-
Been on 1Meg since June. It's made me think, though - it isn't all that long ago (9 years) that I changed from a 14Kpbs dial up to 28Kbps and then the dizzy speeds of 56K in 1998 - that was really rocking :P I went on 512Mbps BB in 2001. Even though this is the back of beyond, we got it early here because the then chairman of BT lived locally and it was to keep him happy. Chris
Well I'm now on 1 MEG BB and all went ok...Well, sort...of!I came home and went to go online and nothing happend. Logged into the router and it showed i was disconnected. So i went to reconnect and nothing, ziltch it was dead...Disconnected router etc and nothing again.Phoned up technical and they didn't support routers...which i knew, i hope they were going to say "Theres a fault on our end" but there wasn't.Anyway plugged back in the old green frog modem and it worked, sort of...It wouldn't accept username and password.Phoned up techinical only to be told that the user name has changed...to which i was never told about!!! :o

moon
I'm still paying £75 a quarter for 7.5Kbs ISDN. This thread ought to be closed. It's offending rural members.
