New CD drive?

Recommended Posts

I have acquired a new CD drive - drive 'D'

My CD Writer is in 'E'.

When I want to write a cd, this one opens first. It's no good for anything - but is confusing the issue.

In properties:

General - shows an empty disc (0 bytes)

Hardware - WD 400EB-00CPFO disc drivers

SAMSUNG CD-ROM SC-152L

_NEC CD-RW NR 9100A

I would like to delete it but can't see an option to do so.

I have no idea when it got there............

trackrat - that thumbnail came up all mushy!

bvw - I've lost the screen capture thingy..............

Here's what I've got though:

FLOPPY(A) C:\LOCAL DISC © CD DRIVE (D)

CD RW DRIVE (E) Shared docs Artist's docs

That's it.

The shared doc file is empty.

Artist....you've not got something plugged into a USB slot have you ?

You know...something you don't have plugged in normally ?  :)

Ah - there was - my daughter's new camera. The discs that came with it put all sorts of rubbish on the comp - which I deleted almost straight away. This must be a left over relic. Can I get rid of it?

Do you have one of those card reader things on the front of your machine.....the one's where you can take the digital camera "film" out of the camera and just plug it into the slot on the PC ? If you have.... the memory card might still be in there.

Just a thought.
