-pops- Posted October 2, 2004 Report Share Posted October 2, 2004 I've just noticed that there is a critical update for Firefox 1.0PR.Look top right of screen just below minimise/full screen/close buttons. trackrat Posted October 3, 2004 Report Share Posted October 3, 2004 Thanks for that reply I followed it till the Pheonix folder, which it appears I do not have.I even went in to the registry and deleted all references to firefox after uninstalling it and downloaded it and reinstalled it again and the XBL error came up again.Following pops link, it was supposed to be an update not a re-install. trackrat Posted October 4, 2004 Report Share Posted October 4, 2004 pops I have now got it back.On the instructions it said to find the Phoenix folder, which I had not go.So using another method I located the Chrome file that should have been in the Phoenix folder and renamed it as they suggested and still the XBL problem.This may be of help to anyone with the same problem, as from surfing the web it is a common occurrence.Uninstall FirefoxOpen My ComputerOpen Documents & SettingsOpen the folder that is your User NameOpen the Tools menu and click OptionsClick the View tab and ensure Show hidden files and folders is selected in the Advanced Settings section, click OK to close the panel.Open the Application data folderLocate a folder called Mozilla, then right click it and from the drop down box click Delete.Then re-install Firefox.
