joysness Posted October 13, 2004 Report Share Posted October 13, 2004 Currently reading The Spontaneous Fulfillment of Desire by Deepak Chopra (self-help type book) and Horse Sense for People by Monty Roberts (a horse trainer in American who "talks to horses").Can't pick a favorite, too many to choose from.Love mystery stories. Read all the Agatha Christies' and there's an English author, I can't for the life of me remember his name, wrote mystery stories about jockies and the racing circuit. Used to be a jockey himself. He claimed authorship on the first book because she thought they would get a larger readership from someone who was already well known to the public.They kept up the deception for the subsequent ones. That's the name..I heard a slightly different version of that rumor...It said his wife did have a hand in the editing and he relied on her heavily but not that she had actually written the books..They really are good though, no matter which one was the author.. :D I also wanted to say that this thread has taken me back to my childhood too!When Artist mentioned the Enid Blyton books.... :wub: My Grandma used to send those to us and Rupert and Noddy (my favorite Noddy and the magic eraser)books too.
