I am really apprehensive about clearing the files- Bit pointless having this prog unless I use it. :rolleyes:

I want to - but.............

In the Shell extensions - what is safe to delete?

In the Back up section - there's stuff there that I have got rid of. But is it going to delete any files that the registry may need if I delete them?

I have got rid of a few bits that are to do with downloads long gone - but my nerve fails me. :huh:

I have always found Reg ScrubXP to be reliable, I use it at least once a month. It creates a back up if you want to reverse, but I have never felt the need to undo what is has done. I allow it to delete EVERYTHING that it wants to.

This is just my opinion but if you have no problems with your computer leavs it alone.

I used a registry cleaner some time back and found that odd little things no longer worked.

If it ain`t broke don`t fix it.

This is exactly my worry.

Don't bother with the shell extensions, unless you know what you are doing. As to the normal registry cleanout then just don't delete the backups until you're sure that everything is working OK . I normally delete the old backups everytime a new one is created.

I think I'm going to leave well alone. I deleted a few bits and already parts of PSP had to reinstall and asked me to register again.

I'm obviously a danger to myself! :D

The registry is a dangerous thing, and a program that does it for you is even worse. If you don't know what your doing manually, don't let a program do it for you.
