doug
Further to my post regarding needing a free wave editor, Trackrat came to my rescue and sent me an OEM version of nero 6. I had a slight problem installing it but have got it loaded. I then updated by downloading ver 6.6.01. However, the wave editor doesn't show even though I could see references to it during the down load. Going into the ahead folder shows that the wave editor is there. Clicking on the Wave Editor.dll icon simply gives a message that the license I am currently using does not allow me to use this application? Even though all the other applications seem to run. Any suggestions please.
bvw
I think it depends on the OEM version of Nero you have.... I've two machines here, both with OEM Nero. One has the Wave Editor, the other hasn't.
doug
Ah Ha. So I'm still a bit stuck. Ah well back to my original thread. Mind this version looks better than the other version I was using.
awake
I use Cooledit 2000 by Syntrillium, who I've just found out have been bought out by Adobe. I was going to say download the demo version which allows you to use a few functions at a time. But doubt it's still about now.Alternatively, you could have a look at http://www.hitsquad.com/smm/It's got bundles of freeware, shareware music / video software for download. One tip here though - set a restore point before each test install (assuming XP) in case of iffy freeware programs ! doug
Will follow those up. However, I've managed to re-install Nero's wave Editor form an earlier CD. this seems to work and has installed into a folder called ahead Nero while the new version has gone into a folder called Nero. doug
Not quite. Just re-installed the Ver. 6 again and it wiped out the folder with the wave editor. There's obviously some promise in them thar hills. Just got to keep prospecting.
