A lot of these young "presenters" could learn a lot from Fred's broadcasting and presentation techniques, not least how not to give demonstrations of man powered flight by waving their arms around every time they utter some nonsensical statement. Producers and directors, likewise, could learn a lot in making television programmes such as not having over-emphatic, over-loud, completely inappropriate and irrelevant music littering their broadcasts.I'll miss him. Be cheered though, he had just completed his last series showing how he had completely ronovated his beloved traction engine with the final program having him driving it down to London to pick up his OBE from her Maj.
