Chris
I got thinking about DVD Shrink in that it can decrypt and encode commercial DVD's so that they can be burned onto a 4 odd gig DVD, whilst maintaining all their glory. So copying does not appear in DVD Shrinks way of doing things or does it? trackrat
DVD Shrink is software to backup DVD discs. You can use this software in conjunction with DVD burning software of your choice, to make a backup copy of any DVD video disc.It appears that without burning software this cannot be used so it is treading a fine line, or bending copyright rules. It is a cracking program though. Tony
It does also have its own burning software, or at least it will use the burning engine of the burning software you already have installed. when it burns my disks it looks nothing like Nero which i have installed. Also i have had a few problems with some the latest DVD's. It can't read the encryption on them, but once you have managed to rip the DVD with other software DVD shrink will then do its job as normal.I agree that it is a excellent piece of software.Tony
Cpt James T. Kirk
i have dvdxcopy gold before they got sued and pulled the stripper from the prgs. after they did that the guys on the screen savers told of several ways around this. they reccommended dvd shrink in conjunction with a dvd burning prg, like nero, etc... i myself dont need it since my dvdxcopy is before they got in trouble and mine has the stripper in it. they also said a few others i cant remember right now but i do remember the dvd shrink they mentioned as one of the top choices for getting round the problem.
