Microsoft's AntiSpyware looks ok

I was using the Malicious Software Removal Tool, not Microsoft's new AntiSpyware utility!

Thanks to Powerless for pointing that out!

Kind of embarrasing. Certainly not the first or last time I've been or will be mistaken!

The Giant based AntiSpyware Utility looks pretty good. I ran a full scan with it after doing Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D and only found on group (SearchSquire) that hadn't been detected by the previous Ad-Aware and Spybot scans though.

It does have some additional functionality regarding IE settings that seem helpful.

Does anyone have experience with the Giant product? Was it worth paying for?

I don't have any personal experience of it and it was still being debated on the anti spyware forums when MS took it over.

False positives should be sorted out though and as you can see, if the searchsquire thing is fixed then your spybot protection is actually lowered so that is a bit of a problem.
