scuzzman
Here you go andsome - I think this will stomp out mailwasher :)Symantec Corp. has launched its Symantec Mail Security 8200 series, designed to provide a secure e-mail gateway to users by protecting them form unwanted spam and virus threats. Designed for medium and large businesses, the appliance integrates Symantec's Brightmail anti-spam and anti-virus technologies. It also integrates volume management, attack prevention, content filtering, encryption, anti-forgery and archiving functionality into a single solution. Some of its features include an e-mail Firewall to reduce the total volume of email. This is enabled by a combination of SMTP connection management and attack detection to reduce e-mail infrastructure costs by restricting connections from dangerous servers.Original story here. andsome
Thanks. I have put this into My Favourites for possible future reference. Since changing my e-mail address to something which most auto spammers are unlikely to discover, I have not had a single spam message. Prior to doing this my total had reached over a hundred per day. As an extra safeguard, I use Mailwasher.

scuzzman
Well, I think it might be a little overkill for home needs, but if you do want a VERY reliable solution, a business class mail server might be your answer :)
