rainbugpooh
Im am having trouble opening .jpg attachments in outlook express. After it asks me if I want to open it or save it and I mark open it it asks me if Im sure I want to open it. The publisher is unknown. I then click yes and it comes back and tell me application not found. Whats weird is I know that in the past I have been able to open the certain attachments. Utterly confused
scuzzman
Have you tried saving, then opening it?
andsome
WELCOME to WFHave you got OE configured NOT to allow attachments to be opened? Open OE then click on TOOLS/OPTIONS/SECURITY, and ensure that the box that says,"Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus", is UNTICKED. This means of course that it is even more essential to keep your AV program updated.

trackrat
Try this, right click My Computer / left click Properties / left click Automatic Updates and make sure the circle next to (Turn off automatic updates) has not got a spot in it.
