As this is part of Google i was going to put it in scuzzmans google thread, but i think it deserves being on its own.

I have used the program for a couple of months and find it brilliant, click on the link to the review that explains it fully.

Also it is a free download here.

Bit late actually, this was recommended a while back on here.  Several of us downloaded it.

Yeah but now you can read the overview and learn more tricks, i would have posted a while ago if i had been a member and read powerless`s post about lack of reviews before today ;) ;)

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

I have used this program and find the red eye function very good except that you cannot zoom then select the eyes because as soon a s you click on red eye it zooms back out again. So on a photo where the eyes are very small you have a very small target to click on. :(

I really do like the program, especially the slide show facility. I agree about the redye function however, it is useless. A far better free program for eliminating redye is Ofoto. Download the uploading program, and you will find a first class redye reduction facility there. You don't have to use their services. I also find the cropping feature good, as you can select 7" X 5" format, which is ideal for fitting four pictures onto an A4 sheet.

Ofoto now.

Redeye update......

A workround from our friends at Picasa 2.

"Hello John,

It is not possible to use Picasa 2's zoom when performing red-eye

correction. However, the following instructions that were provided to us

by a Picasa 2 user offer an effective work around:

1. Press the 'Crop' button.

2. Select the 'Manual' button.

3. Draw a small box to only include the red eyes to be fixed.

4. Press the 'Apply' button.

5. Press the 'Redeye' button.

6. Drag a small box around each eye to remove red eye.

7. Press the 'Apply' button.

8. Press the 'Recrop' button.

9. Press the 'Reset' button. Your picture will return to normal size with

the red eyes fixed.

10. Press the 'Apply' button.

You can now save (File > Save a Copy) or 'Export' the picture to create a

new file based on the edits you have made.

Sincerely,

Jaysie "
