catgate Posted April 14, 2005 Report Share Posted April 14, 2005 We moved here, to the East Riding, in Autumn 2000 and could not get an NHS dentist nearer than our old one (140 mile round trip) so I wrote to the, then, Head Honcho, Alan Milburn. I got a "stroking" reply from one of his minions, and accompanying the letter was the attached. 12 months ago an NHS dental practice set up in York and we were fortunate enough to "get in". A month ago it too "went private". What in Hells name is wrong with the people of this country? Hurdy Posted April 14, 2005 Report Share Posted April 14, 2005 I've come across so many many people in the last few months that are angry with Blair and his cohorts that's it's unbelievable.By the same token, these very people are angry that there is no alternative to vote for.Pigs = Men scenario.Do we really have a democratic choice in this country anymore?Whatever party we elect is at the behest of Brussels now anyway. andsome Posted April 15, 2005 Report Share Posted April 15, 2005 You need to convert your upload to a JPEG or GIF, that is all that the site will accept. When my daughter moved to Shrewsbury, she could not get a dentist even though she was pregnant. The other problem was that our nine year old granddaughter had a major problem with some teeth not having enamel, and they needed capping. She eventually got the job done by kicking up a constant fuss, and sending a barrage of telephone calls to one of the local surgeries. She even found out the dentists home telephone number and called him regularly at home. We have paid enough over the years and should not have to put up with this. We have just returned from several moist days in IOM.I have just retried uploading the item (converted to .jpg), but I am informed that it is too big, so maybe the door should be shut after all, and we can all get on with the important business of keeping the politicians OUT.
