Bawdy Beverley

A couple of days ago management and I were in Beverley. I had gone to pick up an electric motor, and management had gone to do what managements do in towns. Whilst I was mooching around, waiting ,I saw a board, outside a shop across the road, which said "WILD EXOTIC GAME". I had visions of "Nude Whist", or "Lascivious Ludo" or even "Naked Croquet". When I went to investigate I found it was a butchers shop selling "Crocodile Steaks", "Kangaroo Steaks", etc. Talk about a let down!!

Wow thats some market they have

The shop in question is just off the picture to the left. It really is a hell of a market. One day last year they sold a whole bag of potatos and three cabbages in one day on one stall. Mind you it was a bank holiday and there were a lot of tourists. The best market day of the year is the first after Epiphany. For that day only, the Beverley and Fosdyke Over Eighty Nudist Formation Leapfrog Display Team put on a show, every hour, accompanied by the Muriel Clacket Oboe Trio. Last year was a bit of a disappointment though, because Muriel's lot were without her personal charisma, due to the fact that she had not got her teeth back from Cammel-Laird, where they had gone for restorative bridgework repairs.
