My wife has difficulty with steep stairs due to bad arthritis, and we pray that she will never need a wheel chair. I learned photography during national service, and took up slide processing after I left. Unfortunately a lot of my old slides have now started to deteriorate with age. I will shortly be posting to PCA seeking advice on the spec for a new computer, including a scanner to transfer these slides. You may be in the position of being able to advise??? I will be looking to base the machine on one of PCA best budget buys, but will have no need of a sound card suitable for about a hundred surround speakers, just a sterio pair.
