The descriptions are unclear, and the links lead to other links, and at the end you end up were you began. I nearly gave up when I tried to install SpellBound the first time.However, once you get it successfully installed, it is a great spell checker. It not only supports US and UK specific dictionarys, it also has countless other European languages. I really like to use it, if only the installation & instructions were a bit easier! (Sometimes in threads that have absolutely nothing to do with the subject, as I did in post 149822).As for your SpellBound problem, did you uninstall all SpellBound components, then re-install them? Do you now have both SpellBound and SpellBound Win32 Components installed? Which version of the Win32 Components (Mozilla spell check libraries) have you installed? andsome Posted May 17, 2005 Report Share Posted May 17, 2005 You know I am not keen on Firefox, but this is NOT another knock. I hope that you will see this as a sensible suggestion. Could there be some kind of corruption left from the previous attempt to install the spell checker? Why not try uninstalling Firefox and the spell checker. Then look in Windows Explorer and delete any remaining folders. Then Start/Search and look for any other hidden folders or files for Firefox and the spell checker and delete them. Run Crap cleaner including emptying the recycle bin. Then run RegScrub XP. Finally look in the registry to see if there are any other remaining keys, and if so delete them.
