deuces wild
I reformatted and did a clean install of winxp and all my programs. I am pretty well set up.One tweak I want to make is during a reboot/new start when I have to click on my name when WinXP Home starts. I also need to do this when trying to access the computer after is has been put in an idle mode.Any suggestions on how to permanently override this? Thanks in advance for your help. Redhat
I think this is what you mean... http://www.mvps.org/marksxp/WindowsXP/aspdot.phpYou need to remove the ASP.NET user account in the control panel. Unless you do ASP.NET development. :)

andsome
I can guarantee that someone on here knows, because after installing that update, I didn't like this logging on business, and I received help on here. I just forget what I had to do.

deuces wild
Thanks all. It was, as Redhat suggested, the fact that an aspnet accout somehow was on my machine.I followed poweless's advice on the "run, control userpasswords 2" and was able to delete it. It works fine now.Thanks.
