I have tried to disable the start up using various programs with no success....it just keep hanging on like the Energizer Bunny.Any suggestions?Open up MSN Messenger and go Tools, Options. There should be a few options to stop it starting.Start->run->services.msc->Messenger service-> right click->properties->Start-up type=(select) DisabledThat should do it ...The Messenger Service is not the same as Windows Messenger. So it will not work.
