doug
No, I think I'll just run on home (by car). Thanks for the offer. I've got the list of times and events for the day, inc. road closures and re-openings. Would it be worth posting them for anyone in the NE? Rebel=UK=
hey doug mate what time did ya finish aprox last year?
doug
My gun time for last year was 2 hours 24 mins ( personal time of 2 hours 17 mins). As the race was supposed to have started at 10:40, Then I should have crossed the finish at 4 mins past one - when you were still in the pub. Now here's the funny bit just as I came to the finish, the Red Arrows came over - which you Photo'ed. So, either they were early or we were late starting! Will I meet you at the meet point this year? It turns out that none of the family can turn up this year - sob. So either I wait for someone or I'll just run on home.Haven't a clue as to how I'll do this year as I haven't run for 4 weeks to allow my foot to recover. I've been cycling mixtures of 4 and 18 miles. Today I tried a bit of power walking, 4.5 miles in 66 mins to try and exercise the muscles that biking doesn't use. This is to avoid any impact on the ball of the foot until the day.I'll post all the event times tomorrow.
andsome
Best of luck. Not exactly the conditions that you would have preferred.
