Request from a Luddite

I sometimes think that the problems we computer lunatics encounter are controlled by some bus company......you get nothing for ages then half a dozen come at once.

Following my very recent printer replacement I am now unable to print the output from a couple of old DOS based applications...dBase III and Floorplan Plus (FPWin). I use them both fairly frequently for the simple reason that they are simple and convenient. I use dBase for storing all manner of data and FPWin as a simpleton's quick CAD. I am wondering if anyone knows of a way to get round this problem? This is not the first time I have come across this. A friend, who uses an old DOS based Sage/Clipper accounting package for his garage business, had to go on to eBay to find an old printer after his failed. I was hoping there would be a freeware plug in somewhere.

As usual, any help gratefully received.

Thanks for that, Trackrat. I will have a closer look in the next couple of days. In reality I am happy with dBaseIII, it's a programme that will allow my printer to use its output that is my problem. I am not sure if it is in some way commented to ASCI.
