Microsoft IE6 Problem

I have been wrestling with a silly problem for the last week or so.

Using IE6 on my desktop computer - when I access certain websites which have links to other pages - especially those with drop down menus to click on - the page changes to the required new one - but only for a nanosecond - and reverts to the original. I knew it was not a problem with the website because my laptop was accessing it OK.

A typical site was This One - if I tried to enter a particular State in the USA - the page changed to show the selected State for a brief moment and then reverted to the original wording.

After much fiddling with security settings and restoring my computer back a month I still had no success. However, I found that if I clicked on a drop down menu item, waited for the page to change and flick back again - and then clicked on GO by the URL - the required new page was retained OK.

Today I solved the problem - I uninstalled the Microsoft IE search toolbar add-in - and all is now OK.

Just thought I would mention it in case any other Forum members are scratching their heads and posteriors trying to solve the same problem.
