They can run their gas guzzlers on them.

A peanut contains about 50% fixed oil. React that with alcohol (ethanol from the wine surplus or fermented from the Brazilian sugar surplus) and a catalytic amount of caustic soda and the result is an almost 100% yield of the ethyl esters of arachis oil fatty acids i.e. BIODIESEL and glycerine.

The other 50% of the peanut is high quality protein and carbohydrate. Perfect for feeding Texas cattle on.

Peanut shells and straw could be used to provide the heat to distil the alcohol from the wine. The oil transesterification to form the biodiesel is a cold process.
