-pops- Posted August 15, 2005 Report Share Posted August 15, 2005 Reminds me of a rail station sign (local to me) a few years ago.On the main line Waterloo to Portsmouth, at one of the stations was a large poster of a ferry extolling "Portsmouth for the Continent". Underneath was scrawled "and Haslemere for the Incontinent". This is appreciated better if you know that there more more old folks homes/nursing homes in Haslemere than any other similar size town in the whole country.
