The chair is an Echo 2000 courtesy of the NHS. The Trike add on is a little extra ~£2000. The NiMH battery was a further £700 on top but much more reliable than the standard lead acid type. As we have found out over recent years it's not cheap being disabled!

Thats scandalous Doug, how can they warrent 2000 quid for the trike add on ?

Basic excuse is that they are not turn out like minis. Certainly there was a lot of development cost and the unit is very well engineered, there have been some problems that have been progressively ironed out. At the end of the day there is only a very limited market and the people most in need are there very ones with limited finances. Perhaps I should start a second career as a salesman. :rolleyes:

I'll post some shots sometime showing the construction etc. It's very ingeneous.
