My ensemble, this year, wil be the same as for the last 2 years - a navy "T" shirt, faded blue shorts, grey/white socks and ditto trainers. They have been washed since last year's run. I will of course be carrying the Forum flag - probably No.1 as that seems to be the most popular one.

Right, see you there then rebel. Think everything is ready - Mowed the lawn, may not feel like it tomorrow afternoon - watered all the hanging baskets and pots - travel bag packed with 6 mars bars and 5 bananas etc. Run number now pinned to t shirt, flag prepared, chipped ankle bracelet, knickers, socks and trainers all laid out. Now what have I forgotten? Early night tonight, I think.

Forgot the Vaseline - most important. When you see the St. John's Ambulance boys and girls standing at the side of the road hold their hands it - it's not for the runners to shake their hands but to get a dollop of Vaseline. Don't ask where it's applied.

Joggers nipple perhaps.

All the best, I will be rooting for you.

Got to the green at 2:10 and waited under the C banner 'till 2:25 then limped off to get the car. Didn't get any text messag but the network was very busy. Tried ringing your mobile but when I did get through she said your number wasn't recognised. Shall we try again next year?
