Rebel=UK= Posted December 7, 2005 Report Share Posted December 7, 2005 Wasnt sure weather to post this in hardware r software but:ive just scanned in a picture and get this (lines) going all away across the middle, it also comes out in the print, is it a hardware r software issue, and how do i fix it? Scarecrow Man Posted December 7, 2005 Report Share Posted December 7, 2005 Increase the DPI and/or quality output of your scanner.If that does not fix it, clean the scanning surface with an eyeglass cleaner, or a mild, non-streak glass cleaner.I dont know what else it could be? catgate Posted December 7, 2005 Report Share Posted December 7, 2005 On an old scanner I once had this could occur, and on the scanner on-screen control panel was a button to eliminate it. The sad thing is that I can not even remember the name of the scanner let alone what the button was called. -pops- Posted December 7, 2005 Report Share Posted December 7, 2005 There are most likely settings on your scanner for compensating for surface finish, quality of original (photo, magazine print, line drawing etc.) and for "descreening" i.e. compensating for a visual aberration produced when the matrix forming the picture matches, or is in harmonics with, the scanner illumination.Try fiddling with one or more of these. HEREIve been told the scanner heard could have been rubbing on the glass...so how much would it be to take the photo down to a kodak shop r something and get a print that way?
