Fateful Car Accident

About a week ago, a group of 4 teenagers who attend Croswell-Lexington High school, here in Michigan, were heading home after school, when the 15 year old driver (Anthony Mifsud) hit a patch of ice on the road, and hit a patch of trees. The two passengers in the backseat (Jeremy Grezch, and David Sharon) were air lifted to the University of Michigan hospital, in Ann Arbor Michigan, where they remained in critical condition, both unconcious. The driver sustained no injuries, and the passenger (Ciara Lauzon) endured minor injuries and was released from the hospital. David Sharon, who was in the backseat, broke his neck during the crash, and died over the weekend. He was a close friend of mine, and i just want all of you to keep his family and friends in your prayers (whomever you pray to) and also Jeremy Grezch, who is still in the hospital in critical condition. I don't know how many automobile accidents some of you in other countries have to experience, but in the unpredictable state of Michigan, they are quite common. The high school in which these teens attend, is very small, and we live in a close knit community. This tragedy has impacted our town greatly, and has put a huge depression on everyone. Please keep these teens, and our community (Croswell-Lexington) in your thoughts and prayers, and remember to be careful on the road, so that you never have to experience this firsthand.

Thanks You!

I really appreciate all your support. Technically, a 15 yo cannot drive legally unless accompanied by an adult, which none was present, so the driver will be facing charges, and will probably be charged with manslaughter, and a couple of other charges as well.

Thanks again for your support.

It really doesn't matter now does it andsome... Kevin, I'm sorry to hear about the tragedy that took place in your town, I'm so sorry that you lost your friend, take care now.

Please don't think I'm not sympathetic, because I am. It is obviously a tragic loss of life. However, I think that it is a rather silly law that allows children to take charge of a lethal weapon like a car. The law over here is that the minimum age is 18, and a good many 18 year old drivers should never be in possession of a licence. I am not intending to start a debate, this thread is not the place, but this tragedy was avoidable. Very sad.

My deepest sympathy to all concerned, terrible tragedy . I do believe it is legal in some states andsome to drive a car at 16 years of age, maybe younger. As Nel says, this does not matter now, I'm sure they were young friends out to enjoy themselves. Now, many people are mourning their loss. :(
