Hope this is a software problem

Recommended Posts

Keep getting this irritating problem in that I pften get startup problems. I can bootup through the Windows splash screen but when I open my account the PC sometimes just goes blank and I have to do a hard re-boot. Normally as soon as I click on my account I get the normal sound and everything goes OK. When I get the problem I have to boot into safe mode and log in as Administrator, when I then shut down and do a cold start it boots OK. It's just done it again. After the reboot I took a screenshot of the error report, attached. Any clues? I hope it is a software problem as I've only just forked out for a new graphics card.

Yes that was the crash report Scuzzy. Have just looked at the event log and couldn't find anything specific. except a lot of entries relating to Virtual CD. Now I only use this for Age of Empires which I haven't played for ages and the CD is around somewhere. I've deleted that and cleared all the entries in the event log and see what happens next time there's a start-up crash. Thanks for the prompt.
