doug
Keep getting this irritating problem in that I pften get startup problems. I can bootup through the Windows splash screen but when I open my account the PC sometimes just goes blank and I have to do a hard re-boot. Normally as soon as I click on my account I get the normal sound and everything goes OK. When I get the problem I have to boot into safe mode and log in as Administrator, when I then shut down and do a cold start it boots OK. It's just done it again. After the reboot I took a screenshot of the error report, attached. Any clues? I hope it is a software problem as I've only just forked out for a new graphics card. scuzzman
Thats the crash report, correct? Is there anything in the Event Log?
doug
Yes that was the crash report Scuzzy. Have just looked at the event log and couldn't find anything specific. except a lot of entries relating to Virtual CD. Now I only use this for Age of Empires which I haven't played for ages and the CD is around somewhere. I've deleted that and cleared all the entries in the event log and see what happens next time there's a start-up crash. Thanks for the prompt. Scarecrow Man
The crash report does not give any useable information, at least not to a human. You have already taken the actions I was going to suggest, by clearing the event log.
