Tony Posted April 1, 2006 Report Share Posted April 1, 2006 HiI woke up yesterday morning to find a dead mouse sitting on my desk :0 I have a MS Intellimouse explorer (optical & cordless), i tried all the usual tricks to try and coax it back to life, new batteries, changed USB port it was connected to, changing channels on the mouse, but nothing worked.I tried the mouse from my wife's PC (Logitech optical USB) and it worked fine.So i had to go out and buy a new mouse.I got a Logitech MX-610 it is a Laser Cordless mouse. Connected it up and it worked fine. Thos Posted April 1, 2006 Report Share Posted April 1, 2006 If I could just go back to the dead mouse for a moment. I have a microsoft wireless mouse and keyboard with a little transmitter/receiver thingie linked to the USB port. All is working well at the moment but in the past I have had some troubles with the mouse traced back to the battery connections. I have often wondered if the mouse did fail could I buy a new one which would transmit and receive the wireless signals OK or would I have to buy a complete new suite?Anyone know?Thos.
