doug
Just received these pictures of 2 of the wheelchairs purchased from the sponsorship that some of you generously contributed to for last year's Great North Run. They are modelled by Dave of the Physio Dept. Another chair - different model - is due to arrive next week. They came to a total of £3188.18 leaving £296 for something else. I'll be chatting up Sandra the Boss girl at the Neruro unit next week for info.Just received confirmation of my place for this year's run. Oh I'm aching at the moment 'cause I haven't been putting the miles in this winter - for a variety of reasons, including idleness.

nellie2
I do like seeing what our sponsorship money has done... makes it seem more 'real' somehow. How are they getting on with the machine thing that they got year before last (Can't remember what it does, sorry )
doug
Give you more details later, just going out. Basically it was a Laser which is used like accupuncture without the needles. Heard great reports especially with one very serious case of a massive bed sore that had been given up on (gramma?). Anyway that has fully healed.PS the year before that was a balance trainer. That is still giving good service.
