sinjix_media Posted April 21, 2006 Report Share Posted April 21, 2006 i have a really quick question. my monitor displays things too dark so what i was wondering is... i see these adobe color profiles here. I remember on my old PC i was able to change things up and it would display better. i know a long term solution would be to buy a new monitor, but right now i don’t have the money. Is there software that i can download that will help me with this or does anyone know how to change my color? -pops- Posted April 21, 2006 Report Share Posted April 21, 2006 Adobe colour profiles are intended to permit easier matching of monitor colours with that which comes out in print (and similar things). It won't make a lot of difference to the display on a monitor screen, certainly not to improve the brightness of a dark screeen. This should be done by adjusting the monitor itself and if that is not possible, a new monitor is the best (only?) remedy. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Belatucadrus Posted April 21, 2006 Report Share Posted April 21, 2006 You could try Wiziwyg the screen calibration works OK on the free download, for the printer and scanner you need to buy the package that incorporates the colour cards.Try here for a little light reading that may give you some new ideas to try.
