jag Posted May 28, 2006 Report Share Posted May 28, 2006 After I defraged my disk there were some files that could not be defragmented. The report showed one that was 650MB and had 14K fragments. However, I can't navigate to it. It is in several directories in the Temporary Internet Files directory. I can navigate as far as the Temporary Internet Files directory, but there are no other folders available beyond there. How do I get to this file? trackrat Posted May 28, 2006 Report Share Posted May 28, 2006 Hidden files & folders are normally to do with the OS and to delete them could stop your OS from working.650MB is a huge file, as I do not think the OS is that size?.if you want to try to access it, here is how to get to the hidden files.Click Start. Open My Computer. Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options. Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders. jag Posted May 28, 2006 Author Report Share Posted May 28, 2006 I don't think "...Girls%20Gone%20Wild..." is a system file. I already had tried checking the Hiddenfiles selection, and now have unchecked the system checkbox, still can't see it. The directories inside the Temporary Internet Files directory, which I cannot see, are "Content.IE5/GTM7SRWR". The other odd thing is that from the defrag report detail if I highlight this entry and try to paste it into a navigation field I get "46 06 10".
