Does this help ?

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=310543

(if you can actually read it ?)

Sounds like someone has altered the Desktop properties for the default fonts ??

...did the desktop properties, changed some but not all, found that the symbols are the "Marlett" font type, emails are printed off in this font...tried a restore point...no change there...the main system, properties, etc. windows are not readable....somehow got to find a way to change the Marlett font....any suggestions....looked at the word pad and found the type of font ...don't know what buttons to click as i can't understand the symbols ...unless i break it down in code..lol...need to find where i change the default font for the system...
