deuces wild
We got back safely from vacation on Put-in-Bay Island, but left early............the section of cabins we were staying in were mainly occupied by young adults during the weekend drinking their brains out and blasting music out of their patio door. It was generally quiet and family oriented during the week but the partying started again on Thursday night so we left Friday (expecting to stay through Sunday). We are not fuddy-duddy's but we did not buy into that sort of atmosphere at the cabins. The icing on the cake was the fact that our golf cart (a week long rental) was stolen from our driveway on Wednesday.Anyway, I posted some pictures of the Island at the Gallery, including pictures of some mid 1800's houses (old for us in the USA) and a monument built to honor Commodore Perry and the Battles of Lake Erie. http://www.nps.gov/pevi/Glad to be home! ;) B)
dadyassa
Shame about the larger louts spoiling your holiday, but they get everywhere unfortunately. That the only victory against the Brits ? seems like they spent a bit of money on the monument to celebrate the win
artist
Unfortunately the yobs get everywhere. We don't go on the big caravan (trailer) sites any more. Prefer the small ones without club houses.Glad you had a nice time for the most part. :)
andsome
Glad you mainly had a good time, sorry about the woes. It is a sad fact these days that so many lovers of POP so called music think that everyone should be forced to listen. Almost every shop also pumps out the wretched noise. deuces wild
Our friends who stayed on the island an extra night (they were at a different cabin site) drove through our complex yesterday morning and could not believe what they saw...........beer cans and wine bottles everywhere, including on the picnic table of our cabin patio. We were locked out one day and the head cleaning lady came to the rescue. She told us that they find golf carts and picnic tables in the small pond on the property after some of these weekend bashes.A shame that some folks think that having a good time means destroying things and disrupting the peace and quiet of others. :(
