JesseJ1935
A friend had a printer pack up. It would have cost £30 for an agent to look at it. She bought a new on for a little more than £40. I certainly wouldn't consider a repair on an old one. I disagree with DW, we have never had anything but Epsons in three homes in our family, and have always had good service from them. The only experience with Epsom that I have had was with a CX3600, two of the colours stopped printing after 11 months old. I got onto Epsom and they told me to take it to one of their service centres and invited me to enter my post code to find the nearest one. I done this only to get a reply telling me there was not a service centre near the post code I had entered and to try another post code. Seeing as I am one of those people who cannot afford a second home, I only have one post code. I gave up and contacted EBuyer, who I bought it from, and they promptly gave me a refund. The replacement incidentally is an HP PSC 1410 which flies along compared to the Epsom, also the cartridges are a lot cheaper.
trackrat
I have a HP950, which is 6 1/2 years old and still growing strong.I refill the cartridges myself and when the are no longer any good i buy a compatible from Choice stationary, and then start refilling them.
