cfndiddy
Over the last few days, I've suddenly been incapable of deleting my cookies and temporary internet files. It says the file source isn't found and also re-organized some of my settings and placed things in new subfolders i didn't create.I was wondering if anyone has any idea how i can remedy this. Any help is greatly appreciated.I haven't noticed anything else and keep my computer protected with McAfee at all times. No viruses have been detected. -pops-
Have you tried a System Restore to a time before this happened?Do you have a backup which could re-instate your system?Don't you have any other protection apart from McAfee anti-virus? cfndiddy
Yes, I've done a system restore previously. Everything was fine a few days ago. What's strange is, now I can delete some of the files instead of none of them, but some still won't go away due to the same discrepancy as previously indicated.I'm not sure on the backup. No, but I'm definitely open to suggestions on any software or programs you think would help me secure my system more effectively.
Lamb Chop
Most of the programs I have on mine came from reading this forum. How about Ccleaner.com I got it from here - it cleans my temp files and gets rid of other rubbish. Try it.I always system restore whenever trouble looms. If it dont work first time go back further til it does is the only thing I know to do.If you have a read on various threads will find many programs that other recommend and you can get. :D
andsome
After cleaning out the rubbish with Crap Cleaner, you should also install Ant Malware software. I would suggest A Squaredand SUPERAntispywareBoth have free versions. Update and run them every couple of days or so, but do this seperately.
