On a practical point, I regularly put ripped up old newspaper in the compost, especially if there's a lot of grass clippings amongst it. I like to think the snakes appreciate it.

You must have some very well educated snakes down there. Can they read or do they just look at the pictures. If this latter is the case I do hope you remove page 3 first. :)

I am getting out of my depth here now. All I know is that the first posting mentioned COMPOSTABLE material. If this material is compostable, I cannot see any problem. Bio degradable was not mentioned, as I said, the word was COMPOSTABLE

Wasn't that a Perry Como song, 'It's Compostable'. :D
