Dear All,

It seems there is no notice of the end of the Gladiator Antivirus program in these forums. Updates, support and downloads for the program have now ceased to be offered, and the forum community over there is turning into a general security discussion group.

It is sad, but understandable. Michael, the fantastic programmer behind GAV has taken a job in a great AntiVirus company, and in the agreement Michael had to cease development of the product, seeing as it would be making a rival product.

On behalf of Michael and the Team, I would like to thank everyone for their support during the time GAV was available.

IMPORTANT EDIT: The trojanhunter deal is off, take a look around the Gladiator forums for details please. Thanks.

Regards and Best wishes,

Matt

Intructions on how to to Uninstall GAV - (as posted on GAV website)

Because this program is no longer supported, it is recommended that you cease using and uninstall Gladiator from your system.

l. Go to the Add/Remove Programs section in your Control Setting and choose the Gladiator Scanner (whatever version is listed). Remove here first.

2. Go to your Programs Folder (usually found at C:>Program Files>Gladiator Scanner) and Delete the Gladiator Scanner Folder if you find one remaining there.

Boris's Comment

However if you do not uninstall it, you can still use it as a secondary standalone Scanner, covering the nearly 14,000 potential hazards it already identifies.

Obviously no further updates will be forthcoming. :(
