AlanHo Posted September 10, 2006 Report Share Posted September 10, 2006 Its a funny old world.A Christian fundamentalist has been arrested for handing out leaflets (containing no more than quotes from the bible) at a gay parade protesting that gay sex is sinful.Further north - several firemen have been disciplined for refusing to hand out leaflets at a gay parade.Since you can now get into serious trouble for both handing out leaflets and refusing to do so - the only safe option is to become gay. Thos Posted September 10, 2006 Report Share Posted September 10, 2006 Personally, I think the officious action in both cases is uneccessary nonsense but there was a distinct difference and of course it depended on the content of the leaflet.In the first case I suppose the argument would be that handing out "anti-gay" material at a gay parade was inflammatory and likely to cause a riot where people would get hurt.In the second, firemen were asked to hand out fire safety leaflets to all and sundry as part of their job of preventing fires as well as fighting them. Some refused to hand them out to the gay community at their parade. And very disgusting., Imagine two men slopping and kissing each other.., Makes me sick..!!Further north - several firemen have been disciplined for refusing to hand out leaflets at a gay parade.I wouldn't have stood for that , Being repremanded for doing the right thing . Since you can now get into serious trouble for both handing out leaflets and refusing to do so - the only safe option is to become gay.That'll be a cold day in hell...!
