AlanHo
I am selling something on Ebay - the very first time I have used it - and the bids close tomorrow. The bids have gone higher than my expectations - so it should result in a sale.I have a Pay Pal account and have specified that as the method of payment. The question is - how and when will I know that the highest bidder has paid, how do I obtain their address, and when is it safe to post the goods to them.I know it seems very basic - but as a total newbie - I find the Ebay and PayPal sites help files a bit confusing and would welcome specific advice. -pops-
You will get told by eBay AND PayPal about the win. On your PayPal account you will be given details of the winner (name, address etc.) when they have paid into your account.Do not deal with the winner other than through PayPal. Do not send the item until you have definitely had the money paid into your PayPal account e.g if they are paying PayPal by cheque, wait until they tell you it is safe to send the item. Alan2273
Also Alan if you log into your PayPal account you will be given the option to print out a receipt to send with the item.
