And from me. Isn't it Turkey day? I'll have to go and tell the pheasants wondering through the wife's Herbaceous border how lucky they are and not to go drifting back to the Lambton Estate. :D

OK Nel. Will do. Mind the c**k pheasant is a bit of a girls blouse. Every time I go into the garden and cluck to him he runs a mile. Not so the hen. Very sad she hatched 7 chicks. Tiny things about the size of a very small wren. 2 days later and she was down to only 3 chicks. Very sad. Mind these chicks were a lot bigger than before. At this stage they looked like Imperial walkers from Star Wars. Tiny bodies on top of very long legs. Even more sad there is only the one left. Mum is very careful with her. It's now the size of a pigeon.

Thanks to All of You

Yes, born and lived in the US my entire life - actually in the same city ... :P

In Indiana but not too far from Chicago. ( so if I want "big city living" I can get there in about 30 minutes ;) )

I am curious, are fireworks legal / popular in the UK ?

In this state, almost anything goes so it is really loud :( hate picking up all the bottle rocket sticks that land in the yard  Some people tend to spend hundreds on the stuff - the big aerial ones are getting more and more common. So are the quarter sticks of dynamite - irratating ! <_<
