catgate
Wouldn't it be funny if this was to provide windfalls to political party funding?http://www.iht.com/articles/2006/10/27/business/gamble.php
andsome
As far as I'm concerned they can do what the hell they like about gambling. I will avoid it like the plague. £1 per week on the lottery is all that interests me.

I will avoid it like the plague.Same here.£1 per week on the lottery is all that interests me.I don't even go that far :D I used to be into gambling when I was in my early 20's and used to spend over half my wages on the fruit machines I've given it up for years now. Thos
I don't throw my money away gambling either, but millions do. Ought they to be left alone or should the internet gambling industry be regulated?I tend towards the latter.Thos.
catgate
I find it all very strange. This government seems to have set out to demolish all the "Social Sins" by making them legal and encouraging them.24 hour drinking, homosexuallity, gambling, cheating and lying, idleness, etc. The only thing that has not been sanctioned and promoted is beastiality. May be the appropriate minister for that has not yet been found. What I can not understand is why these things are being encouraged. It is one thing to slacken the controls, but it is an entirely different thing actually negotiating with the promoters of these activities. What are our "leaders" getting out of it? andsome
I have long since given up trying to understand the way this lot think. There has been so much corruption, who knows what back handers may be passing over?
