How to remove Windows live messenger

I just had to do this myself. Its better to disable it because its sort of tied in with the OS and you could get problems if you remove it completely. To disable it, open Windows Messenger, go to Tools, Options, Preferences tab, and uncheck the first two boxes on the top. Then just click OK and close out of Windows Messenger.

It is actually in the uninstall list but hidden. There is a file that has a full list of the add/remove programs and each entry on the list has attributes and one of them attributes is HIDE. When you delete that attribute it will be shown in the list, but Microsoft obviously didn't want you to do that and probably for good reason. You should be able to find the file on google.
