It usually shows up 3, 4 or more times in your taskmanager and should NOT be disabled. It is usually the resource hog in many systems, but that cannot be avoided. cozofdeath Posted January 19, 2007 Report Share Posted January 19, 2007 It sounds like all three of your posts are probably tied together and the suspect is most likely ZA. It may not get along with your spyware scanner? I don't know but all the problems you have mentioned I have had once upon a time with ZA and I know others have at other forums. Best way to check is telling ZA to shutdown and or remove it from startup and seeing if the problem still persists. Upgrading may also work. Coreper Posted January 19, 2007 Author Report Share Posted January 19, 2007 on the startup vsmon.exe takes something like 37.000 kB, and svchost.exe something like 45.000 kBafter a while vsmon.exe takes 26.000 kB, and svchost.exe takes 35.000 kBim upgrading to ZA 7 today... I then did a search for Zone Alarm pro, and downloaded it and installed it, it was AV, Firewall, Anti Malware etc etc. I had not appreciated the fact that there is also a Zone Alarm pro AV and also a Zone Alarm Pro Firewall..
