-pops-
Be VERY careful about using any of them. You can easily wreck a machine by using this type of software wrongly.
andsome
I much prefer to defrag on a regular basis, and just occasionally run Check disk. I also use Crap Cleaner on a daily basis, and keep my AV and Anti Malware programs up to date. Another useful tool to run occasionally is to be found HERE..I couldn't aggree more with the observations of pops. The tools that I have mentioned will do anything that these that you have mentioned will, and do it safely.
Boris
Read what -pops- says above ........ his advice is sound ....... but personally I have used TuneUp Utilities for almost 3 years with no problems.I make use of its Registry Cleaner, System Optimiser and RegistryDefrag tools on a weekly basis, the other features less frequently.I have never had any reason to make use of its built in RescueCentre - but this feature allows you to easily undo any changes that you have made to the Registry and subsequently want to reverse.
