catgate Posted February 5, 2007 Report Share Posted February 5, 2007 It was suggested by Prof. Gregor Schwartzwinkler of Heidelberg that the only way we shall ever be sure of getting rid of Bird flu is by killing it with heat. The virus is apparently very susceptible to small temperature changes, and he is suggesting that if we could raise the temperature of the earth by only a few degrees (he suggests 4 might be enough) in a very short space of time, we would be rid of it, in all its forms, for good.He is now trying to organise a meeting of heads of state to achieve this change in the next six months.The leaders of China, India and America are opposing this, but most other leaders seem to be quite in favour.
